We were so excited and proud to become the winners of the 2017 Barking & Dagenham Poetry Competition.
Hunters Hall Primary School have helped raise funds for Children in Need, with most of the children dressing like Pudsey, who surprised the students by visiting the school. As you can see from their reaction they were thrilled to see him.

World Peace Day 2016
Hunters Hall Primary School’s whole school community was invited to attend a special event to raise awareness and provide support for world peace on Wednesday 21st September.
A talented team of teachers organised and ran a thoroughly entertaining and thought provoking celebration. Children from across the school read peace poems, which they had written. The whole school sang, “No Wars will stop us singing!” and the choir sang, “Unity”.
The event finished with a peace parade made up of origami doves and peace windmills.

Hunters Hall Euro 2016
As Euro 2016 kicked off last Friday, Hunters Hall Euro 2016 commenced with the “Czech Republic” (3B), “Croatia” (3F) and “Sweden” (3P) competing against one another. Each match played ended with a score of 0-0 despite some excellent shots on target and some equally fantastic saves. However penalites loomed; leading to a play-off between 3B and 3P, with 3P scoring a magnificent goal which takes them into the semi-final to be played on the 8th July 2016.
On Friday 17th June , it was the turn of “Romania” (5C), “England” (5R) and “Ukraine” (5T) to show each other their brilliant football skills. After standing for their national anthems, the teams each put up a fight for their place into the semi-finals, however it was Ukraine’s day and they gracefully won the group stage.
There are two more weeks until the semi-final, I am sure that Year Four and Year Six are having sleepless nights in the run up to their matches.

Great Britain Triathlete, Mark Threlfall, visits Hunters Hall.
The students in Key Stage 2 will have the opportunity to meet a Great Britain athlete, Mark Threlfall, on Friday 26th May. The children will be able to find out what it’s like to be a professional athlete and the sacrifices that are needed to succeed, as well as the rewards of being a professional sportsperson.
In 2007 Mark moved on to Loughborough University to study Industrial Design and Technology alongside triathlon. During this time he became a member of the British Triathlon elite team, regularly representing GB in Duathlon, Triathlon, Cross Triathlon and now Long Distance Triathlon.
With University done and dusted he pursued a career in triathlon.
This is fantastic opportunity for the students of Hunters Hall.
